ZTE launches Libero Flip foldable phone in Japan

has launched a clamshell foldable flip phone. Of all places, it’s exclusive to the Japanese market. As seen on its , the will begin retail on 29 February 2024 through Japanese phone operator Y!Mobile. ZTE is also running several campaigns to promote the flip phone. Its news release showed that each purchase of the device comes with a free phone casing accessory, with over 2,000 designs to choose from. On the Y!Mobile listing page, it showed a pre-order discount of 37%, which brings its original price of (~S$562.34) down to just JPY39,800 (~S$355.25). The catch is that it , with three plans to choose from. Specs-wise, the ZTE Libero Flip comes with a 6.9-inch main display (2,790 x 1,188 pixels resolution) and a 1.43-inch round secondary display (466 x 466 pixels resolution) on the front cover. The secondary display comes dotted with dual cameras, featuring a primary shooter of 50MP and a supporting depth camera of 2MP. The in-display camera sits at 16MP. ZTE also added that the 4,310mAh phone supports 33W wired fast charging with Qualcomm QC 4.0 and USB PD 3.0. However, it seems like the Chinese phone brand doesn’t provide a compatible adapter or cable out of the box, since there’s a caveat asking users to prepare “ ”.
