Nee Soon Town Council cleared the bulky items blocking a corridor at Block 335A Yishun Street 31 on the same day it received feedback from a resident about the clutter. Stomper , who is the resident, shared photos of the discarded furniture, such as a cupboard and a desk, as well as mobility devices clogging the second-storey corridor on Sept 4. "My neighbours have been throwing away bulky items and blocking the escape route many times already," said the Stomper, who had informed the town council about the problem. He added that the neighbours were also very noisy. "Especially their children playing and shouting. And the adults talk and laugh very loudly," said the Stomper. He shared a video to show how noisy the neighbours were. In response to a Stomp query, a Nee Soon Town Council spokesperson said it received feedback about the bulky items on the morning of Sept 5. "We cleared the items on the same day at 2.54pm," said the spokesperson. "Illegal dumping can be a fire hazard and pose a danger to residents. We will continue to monitor our estates for such cases and take action against illegal dumping." Download the new STOMP app today.
