To say that is selling like hotcakes would be an understatement. The camera is and is reportedly the most successful launch the company has ever had. This is despite moving production to China and doubling it to the tune of . As with anything that is highly sought after, we have the unavoidable nuisance of scalpers. The first units of the X100VI have just arrived on our shores and already scalpers are offering them on sale on second-hand marketplaces at ridiculous prices. A quick look indicates that most are asking for a brand new unopened unit. The highest I saw was S$3,500. To give this figure some context, and that even comes with a host of freebies. If you are really keen on getting the X100VI, my suggestion is that you put your name down for one at an authorised dealer and wait. It's hard to say when the next shipment will arrive, but a couple of stores told me that it should be sometime between April to June. Seeing that Fujifilm has already increased production, it should be a matter of time before supply catches up to demand. Don't feed and encourage scalping.
