Ubisoft's open-world Star Wars Outlaw will launch on 30 August, promising players a rich storytelling

Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft have shared more details about their new Star Wars project, titled . An open-world game set during the original trilogy era, the game puts players into the boots of Kay Vess, who is embroiled in what’s touted as one of the biggest heists in the Outer Rim. The game is scheduled for release on , , and will be available on PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X platforms. Set between and , the Star Wars Outlaws explores a period when the Empire, despite its might, was distracted by the ongoing Rebellion, diving into the underworld of the Star Wars universe and highlighting criminal organizations such as the Zerek Besh, Pikes, Crimson Dawn, and the Hutts. The latest trailer also introduces players to both old and new characters, including Jabba the Hutt, and promises visits to several familiar and new planets like Canto Bight, Kijimi, and Tatooine, as well as Toshara, a new addition to the Star Wars settings. Ubisoft says the game will also offer players a mix of strategic gameplay and rich storytelling.
