Thermaltake has launched a new solid-state drive (SSD) cooler that’s quite unlike any other – it comes with a heatsink, heatpipe an active fan. Dubbed the , it aims to go one notch better than passive SSD coolers that usually dissipate heat via huge heatsinks. Since contemporary SSDs are not only getting faster but also a lot hotter, Thermaltake’s solution could be a good alternative to existing options in the market. According to Thermaltake, during an in-house test with a , the results showed that the new cooler does indeed lower the temperature of the SSD while running the benchmark when compared to it using an unknown passive heatsink. It goes without saying that the test by Thermaltake should be taken with a pinch of salt, as the test was conducted in-house and not by a third-party.
