ASUS is set to launch the bringing significant upgrades to the handheld gaming PC that was originally released in 2023. The new Ally X will address some of the major drawbacks that the original model had by including a and .  The larger battery capacity aims to substantially improve battery life, which was a key complaint about the first Ally. In our review, ( ) we saw Spider-Man: Miles Morales running for an hour and a half before signalling low battery and while on the more battery-hungry Turbo mode, we only saw one hour of playtime. While this amount of battery life is similar to what the Steam Deck offers, an extra hour or two of extra playtime is certainly a welcome addition. The cooling system has been changed as well, with ASUS promising better airflow despite using a smaller fan.  Beyond hardware, ROG is also bringing updates to its Armory Crate software with the latest 1.5 version. This version will see a redesigned interface design as well as features such as allowing players to share their button mapping for various games with other Ally owners.
