The new Gold Road Chapter in Elder Scrolls Online sees a brand new scribing system

Bethesda Softworks and Zenima Online Studios have released the Gold Road Chapter for The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO). The new chapter brings a wave of content for PC and Mac players, with console players set to get the update on 18 June.  The Gold Road update introduces around set in the previously unseen zone of West Weald - The last time it was seen was in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. There, players can explore the province bordering Cyrodiil and Gold Coast as they embark on an adventure. Check out this trailer from Bethesda. The real game-changer is the - a powerful new way for players to craft and customise their character abilities using unique scripts. Scribing allows the use of Focus, Signature and Affix “scripts” to modify “Grimoires” opening up a variety of possibilities for builds. Other highlights of the update include new item sets, unique Mythic items, the 12-player Lucent Citadel trial, and a new type of collectible called Skill Styles.  For players without the Gold Road expansion, the brings improvements to in-game mail and notifications, a special 10th-anniversary achievement, and additional base game upgrades.
