The ASUS ROG Carynx is a condenser microphone with high-resolution recording for livestreamers

Originally unveiled at  , ASUS has announced that the  , a cardioid condenser gaming microphone, will be available in Singapore.  Designed for streaming, gaming and content creation, the Carnyx has , that is more sensitive than the more common dynamic microphones. To take advantage of the extra sensitivity of the condenser design, the Carynx also has the ability to record  . Compared to competitor microphones such as the   or the  , the higher sampling rate of the ROG Carnyx should mean a more accurate and faithful reproduction of the original sound. The Carnyx has a suite of features to ensure clean and uninterrupted recordings. A high-pass filter eliminates low-frequency background noises, and the built-in pop filter minimises plosives caused by harsh consonants like p's and b's. The microphone also comes with a metal shock mount that isolates the mic from vibrations caused by desk bumps or when you are typing on your keyboard. It also has a built-in mount adapter that's compatible with standard 3/8-inch threaded microphone stands or boom arms. On the Carnyx is a 3.5mm headphone jack for live monitoring, which is a convenient function if you want to know what your audience might be hearing through the microphone. It is also a nice feature to have if you are recording music or vocals. The Carnyx connects through . There is also a one-touch mute button for users to instantly mute themselves and a multi-functional control knob that allows users to adjust the microphone and multimedia volume or toggle the included high-pass filter on or off. Finally, as with ROG and its gaming products, the Carnyx has that can synchronise lighting effects with other Aura Sync-enabled peripherals. There are six different preset lighting effects. Through the Armoury Crate software, users can adjust EQ settings, activate the high-pass filter, customise the RGB lighting, and more.  The black variant of the ROG Carnyx is available for sale now and retails for  on their official storefronts on and , and . The white variant is set to be available sometime in early May.
