Tencent Cloud becomes the official provider of game servers for Palworld developer, Pocketpair

the cloud business technology company Tencent, has announced that it is collaborating with developer as their “official partner providing dedicated multiplayer servers” for their globally popular game. The game in question, is of course, the massively popular “Pokemon with guns” for PC, which have taken the gaming world by storm since the turn of the new year – . At the stage, the game isn’t even anywhere close to launch yet. If you have not heard of Palworld, it is a monster-taming open-world survival game that can accommodate up to 32 players. The game's world is composed of mysterious creatures known as "Pals". Within just one month of its release, the game has already attracted , straining the small developer resources who have to manage and increase expensive servers to accommodate new players. Working with Tencent Cloud to leverage on the company’s Lighthouse, an out-of-the-box cloud server service designed for lightweight scenarios. The service is set to be delivered to Palworld players worldwide via , Tencent Cloud’s partner in Singapore. Through this collaboration, Tencent Cloud will expand its cloud services for building dedicated multiplayer servers not only in but also in the and the Asia-Pacific region, including , , , and .
