Adding to this ever-growing list is Seoul Noodle Shop, a new restaurant specialising in kalguksu AKA traditional Korean knife-cut noodles. A post shared by Market Blue (@marketblue_official) If the name of the restaurant sounds familiar, that’s because they’ve got five outlets in Hong Kong, and another in Singapore at Market Blue. The brand recently did a month-long pop-up at the latter location, a popular Korean food court in Tanglin Mall, before permanently setting shop there. Image credit: @marketblue_official Over at this new Tanjong Pagar outlet, you can expect Seoul Noodle Shop’s signature knife-cut noodles served in a variety of mains. For instance, there’s the Singapore-exclusive Busan Shrimp Noodles ($20.50++), where fresh shrimp, fish balls, and shrimp broth are joined by handmade noodles. The Clam Noodles ($18.50++) is another excellent alternative if you enjoy seafood flavours. Those who want something heartier can opt for the Pork Bone Spicy Noodles ($20.50++) instead, another new item comprising rich pork bone broth and perilla powder. Otherwise, go for the Bibim Noodles ($16.50++), a chilled noodle dish with fresh kimchi and beef slices, for something refreshing on a hot day. Besides kalguksu, you can expect a small selection of sides that are worth sharing with the table. The Spicy Cheese Dakgalbi ($38.50++), featuring spicy stir-fried chicken with gooey mozzarella cheese, is a must-try. @marketblue_official Complete your feast with some Mini Gimbap, available as an add-on side for $3++.
