Sega's Football Manager has scored a deal with the English Premier League

The Premier League has announced a four-year licensing partnership with Sports Interactive, the studio behind the popular Football Manager simulation game series.  Beginning with FM25, within Football Manager, with official logos, kits, player names and photos accurately represented in the game. This will provide a more immersive experience as players attempt to manage a Premier League club. As with FM24, while the game already featured a decent Premier League-esque experience, having a license will now put it on par with rivals like EAFC. Besides the Premier League, the game also has other English football league licenses including Sky Bet and Vanarama.  In the press release, Sports Interactive's Studio Director, Miles Jacobson, said that the partnership will not only provide huge in-game benefits but also open up opportunities to work with the Premier League on community and charitable initiatives that are important to them. While it is unclear what these charitable initiatives are, one thing for sure is that this partnership has been one that the FM series has been missing in its 32 years of history.  Financial terms were not disclosed, but the deal is expected to be highly lucrative for both parties involved. It marks one of the Premier League's highest-profile licensing agreements in the gaming sphere besides EAFC.  Sports Interactive has pledged to regularly update Premier League portfolios each transfer window to maintain authenticity year-round. The with further information about the game being released later in the year.
