Poco’s entry-level M6 phone packs 108MP camera and 5,030mAh battery for just S$199

Successor to the , the latest member of the “M” series line is a budget 4G smartphone that shares its key specs with , which announced its local pricing earlier in the same week. The Poco M6 features a with a resolution of 2,460 x 1,080 pixels, giving it a pixel density count of 296 PPI. The screen can run at a maximum with a High Brightness Mode peaking at  550 nits. This puts it on par with other budget offerings like the Redmi 13. The screen is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.  Powering the Poco M6 is the or . It's fuelled by a large 5,030mAh battery that supports . Poco said that the M6 will take approximately 70 minutes to achieve a full charge when using its included charging adapter. Moving onto the camera, the back houses a Samsung ISOCELL HM6 1/1.67-inch main sensor and a 2MP macro lens. For selfies, there is a with a soft light ring when taking selfies in dark environments.  Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, side-mounted fingerprint sensor and expandable storage via a microSD card. The phone is IP-53 certified and will come running Xiaomi’s HyperOS operating system. The will be available in three colours (black, silver and purple) and in two configurations (6GB RAM + 128GB storage) or (8GB+256GB).  From 13 June to 19 June 2024, the Poco M6 will start at an early bird price of S$179 (6GB+128GB) and S$219 (8GB+256GB).
