Paramount's new Transformers One trailer shows Optimus Prime and Megatron as buddies in better days

Paramount has unleashed the first trailer for , an animated film that serves as a prequel to the original series. Watch it below: In the trailer that shows a more kid-friendly direction that the movie is undertaking, we see the origins of Optimus Prime and Megatron – then known as Orion Pax and D-16. They were even buddies! Later on in the trailer, we get to see Elita-1 and B-127 (aka Bumblebee) and together with Optimus and Megatron, the quartet rising up against the Quintessons. Transformers One is pretty much what most fans already know, about the enslaved Transformers being led by Optimus and Megatron in a rebellion against the alien Quintessons. But it’s seeing them in their “juvenile” non-transformable beginnings that makes this movie a must-watch. Even the casting is impressive; featuring the voices of Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, and Scarlett Johansson. Hemsworth lends his voice to a young Optimus Prime, while Henry portrays D-16. Additional voices include Scarlett Johansson as Elita, Keegan-Michael Key as Bumblebee, Jon Hamm as Sentinel Prime, and Laurence Fishburne as Alpha Trion. Steve Buscemi is in an undisclosed role.
