Oppo unveils Air Glass 3 with new AI assistant at MWC 2024

We've seen smart wearables really come to life these few years. OPPO was one of these players in the market with the back in 2021. Now, in its third iteration, the OPPO Air Glass 3 looks more like a normal pair of spectacles, just with a bunch of cool features.  The most important to note is that OPPO has consistently called the Air Glass an Assisted Reality (AR) device and not an Augmented Reality (AR) or Extended Reality (XR) device. At just 50g, the Air Glass 3 is incredibly light, using a self-developed resin waveguide that has a peak brightness of over 1,000 nits, a display brightness uniformity of more than 50% and a refractive index of 1.70.  When paired with a smartphone through the Air Glass app, the wearable can access OPPO AndesGPT, OPPO's proprietary ChatGPT alternative that provides an AI voice assistant to perform various tasks simply by pressing on the temple of the Air Glass 3.  Touch controls also allow the glasses to control music playback, information display and more. The arms of the glasses also have speakers with reverse sound field technology that's supposed to avoid sound leakage and enhance privacy. The glasses also have four microphones for voice calls and interaction with the voice assistant. Aside from this, OPPO has also indicated their growing investment in AI, with the opening of a new in China. The latest OPPO Reno 11 smartphones will also be some of the first to get OPPO's new AI features, including an AI Eraser and more.  Source:
