OnePlus finally unveils OnePlus Watch 2 at MWC 2024 after 3 years

The first-ever OnePlus Watch was announced back in 2021. It was stunner back in those days, with up to two weeks of battery life, over 110 workout modes and more. After three years, OnePlus has finally launched the , which looks like it could be even better. Made with a stainless steel chassis and featuring a 2.5D curved sapphire glass protecting the display, the OnePlus Watch 2 is certified to the latest US military standard while offering dust and water resistance as well as water resistance. Inside, the watch runs on a Dual-Engine Architecture with two processors: the performance chipset and the BES 2700 MCU Efficiency chipset. The efficiency chip takes on the real-time operating system (RTOS) and other tasks like background activity, while the Snapdragon W5 chip handles demanding tasks. Thanks to the Dual-Engine Architecture and a new battery, the OnePlus Watch 2 offers up to when in Smart Mode, or 48 hours with heavy usage. While not as jaw-dropping as the original OnePlus Watch, this is still a respectable battery life rating that doesn't lose out to other flagship smartwatches like the and . Inside, the watch is supported by and , which should be enough for a few apps and music downloads for offline listening. The watch pairs with the OPlus app, and includes tracking modes for , for better accuracy, and via heart rate variability. The OnePlus Watch 2 runs on , which is Google's latest version of Wear OS, and supports all the standard apps like Calendar, Maps, Assistant and more. Priced at / , the OnePlus Watch 2 will be available for purchase from 4 March 2024 onwards in the Radiant Steel or Black Steel colourways.
