Elon Musk, , confirms that the company is to start posting, liking, and replying on the platform. Musk made the confirmation in a reply to @xDaily's report that X could be changing its policy to charge new users. @xDaily discovered a website change on X that states before they can post, like, bookmark, and reply. The website change also indicates that the small fee is "to reduce spam and to create a better experience for everyone". Musk reiterates in a tweet: Unfortunately, a small fee for new user write access is the only way to curb the relentless onslaught of bots.  Current AI (and troll farms) can pass “are you a bot” with ease. Musk later clarifies in another post that and only applicable for fresh accounts. These new users can post, like and reply for free after three months.
