New rumour claims an earlier arrival of Apple's foldable devices

Based on an analyst's investor note, Apple's foldable devices could arrive earlier than expected.  The investor note, written by Haitong International Securities analyst Jeff Pu, claims Apple is gearing up to mass produce a foldable device in late 2025 and a foldable iPhone with a screen size of in late 2026. Both foldable devices are said to be a "new line-up for Apple" designed for the "ultra-high-end market."  Pu's investor note differs from most reports where Apple's entry into the foldable space is forecasted to a later timeframe. Korean publication Alpha Biz said last month that .  that Apple could release a 20-inch MacBook with a foldable screen in 2027. y that Apple is currently working on at least two "active prototypes" of a folding iPhone that won't launch soon Nonetheless, changing consumer preferences and market trends might force Apple to expedite its launch plans. Counterpoint Research's Global Foldable Smartphone Tracker and Forecast estimates that global foldable phone shipments will hit 100 million by 2027. TrendForce also made a similar forecast; foldable phones are expected to have a 5% global . If Apple wants to ride on this momentum, it makes sense for the company to launch their devices earlier to avoid being overshadowed by Samsung and other Chinese phone brands. Source:
