Microsoft is reportedly working on an Xbox AI chatbot to help with customer support

The Verge has that Microsoft is currently testing an “Xbox Support Virtual Agent” as a solution to aid customer support. The AI-powered chatbot will utilise "natural language processing" to answer user-queries ranging from a broken Xbox to resolving paid subscription issues. The chatbot would have access to Microsoft’s support documents for the Xbox network and ecosystem, allowing it to provide information and even process game refunds directly from Microsoft’s support website. The same report also claims that the AI chatbot aims to streamline the support experience by offering quick and easy assistance for Xbox gamers. The Xbox AI chatbot is a part of Microsoft’s initiative to introduce AI to the Xbox ecosystem. While the Xbox AI chatbot is one of these efforts, other services that the company felt the power of AI could be taken advantage of include: AI-powered features and tools for the Xbox platform and developers AI game testing  Development of generative AI NPCs in AI-powered assistants in games Furthermore, Microsoft is also considering the potential of AI to enhance safety and moderation on the platform.
