MediaTek unveils new 6nm Dimensity 6300 chip for midrange 5G phones

MediaTek has just announced its new for midrange Android phones. As the successor to , the new MediaTek Dimensity 6300 is stated to deliver thanks to the higher CPU speeds of 2.4GHz. As for graphics, Mediatek claims the Dimensity 6300 offers when compared to competitor alternative platforms. Built on a 6nm process, the Dimensity 6300 comes with , 6 ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked up to 2.0GHz, and an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.  MediaTek says the Dimensity 6300 has , and can support displays with a maximum display resolution of up to 2520 x 1080 pixels, and refresh rates of up to 120Hz. Other specs include with peak download speeds of up to 3.3Gbps, Wi-Fi 5 connectivity, Bluetooth 5.2, UFS 2.2 storage, and LPDDR4x RAM support.  On paper, the new Dimensity 6300 looks like a competent chipset. The only concern we have at this point is that . Wi-Fi 6 is the wireless standard at most places now, and the world is slowly but surely transitioning to .
