Speaking to an employee of Madeleine’s Original Portuguese Egg Tarts, we learned the unit is rented from a landlord. However, said landlord has decided to sell his unit, causing the owners of Madeleine’s Original Portuguese Egg to "take a break" and shut down operations. “(There's) still no location to move to. The place has to be big and (have a) power supply (that's) good enough for our machines,” said the employee, who added that the duration of this "break" is still unknown.
