As staff return to the office, finding an available meeting room can be difficult. Logitech is launching its solution to this problem with an upgrade to Logitech Sync, featuring software tools for remote access, room booking, usage insights, and automation ¾ that aims to simplify space and device management. All of which is managed by IT on a single platform. Logitech’s new room booking software on Tap Scheduler allows employees to book and claim rooms directly through their existing calendar app like Google Workspace, Office 365, or directly on Logitech Tap Scheduler. If a booked room is not checked into within a set time, the room is automatically released and made available to others. For ad-hoc meetings, users can spot available rooms through the LED status lights on Tap Scheduler, or select an available room from a floor plan map. Logitech says that an upcoming software update will allow the AI Viewfinder presence detector in its Rally Bars and Rally Bar Minis to use software currently used for framing people to identify when a meeting is in progress in a room and automatically switch the room status to occupied. IT admins can customise room booking and release settings to be in line with company policies and can personalise the Tap Scheduler interface with custom wallpapers and their corporate branding later this year. Remote UI Access allows IT to see and manage Logitech devices inside a conference room to troubleshoot issues without needing to set a real foot inside the room. This includes conference cameras, touch controllers including the scheduling panel. User’s with privacy concerns needn’t worry as Logitech’s privacy and security policies ensure that Sync does not capture or store any sound, video, or static images from a meeting room at any time. Logitech’s Room Booking solution is available in two price plans, the comprehensive and essential, and are both in a . The comprehensive service plan will cost US$399 per room per year while the essential plan is priced at US$199 per room per year. Each plan will also cover the following services:
