Logic Pro for iPad and Mac gets big boost in new update with AI-enhanced features

After launching the last year, will be arriving on 13 May 2024, with new features powered by AI that's set to enhance the music-making experience.  The Drummer feature was introduced over a decade ago and was one of the highlights of Logic Pro X when it launched in 2013. It provided a virtual session player that automatically played along. Now, Logic Pro is expanding the feature into , going beyond drums with a new Player and Player. was trained in collaboration with bass players using AI and sampling techniques. Eight different Bass Players can be chosen, with controls for complexity and intensity. There are 100 Bass Player loops to choose from, and the player can also jam along with chord progressions that can be defined with Chord Track.  With the Studio Bass plug-in, six acoustic and electric instruments can be accessed, all inspired by some of the most popular bass tones and genres today. As for , there are four different styles with plenty of variations, from block chords to chord voicing with extended harmony. Chord Track can also be used here for Keyboard Player to follow chord progression, and additional sound-shaping options are available with the Studio Piano plug-in, such as the ability to adjust three mic positions, pedal noise, key noise, release samples, and sympathetic resonance. is a new feature using AI and Apple's M-series silicon that separates audio recordings into four tracks: Drums, Bass, Vocals and Other instruments. With the tracks separated, applying effects or creating a new mix from any audio file is much easier.  Lastly,   is Apple's newest tool to add warmth to tracks with five different saturation styles, from modern and clean to nostalgic and vintage.  Logic Pro for Mac will also be getting an update. Logic Pro for Mac 11 and Logic Pro for iPad 2 will both be released on as free updates for existing users.
