LG TVs win the race to be first to support Apple Music's Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos

TV owners are set to get a nice upgrade, with support for coming this week. With over , Apple introduced back in 2021, and the feature has been provided in plenty of Apple's audio offerings, including the , and the (in a stereo pair). Now, that will also be able to play spatial audio tracks on Apple Music. Even if the TV doesn't support Dolby Atmos, spatial audio tracks will be supported if a is connected, which is a much smaller upgrade requirement than replacing an entire TV. “The introduction of spatial sound with Dolby Atmos through Apple Music on LG TVs transforms how we listen to music on the big screen. LG is dedicated to elevating the content streaming experience for music enthusiasts around the world, and we will continue to offer easy access to a great music experience across devices," said Chris Jo, senior vice president of platform business at LG Electronics Home Entertainment Company. Apple Music can be easily accessed via voice commands in the , Apps, or through the Music Quick Card on the TV's Home Screen. In addition, LG is offering a of Apple Music to owners of compatible LG Smart TVs (2018 models and later) running webOS 4.0 and higher, as well as for the StanbyME, StanbyME Go and MyView Smart Monitor models.  The 3-month free trial promotion is valid until , so if you own a compatible LG smart TV, you'll want to hop onto this before then.
