As part of , LG announced plans to unveil a new kitchen cleaner, the , that is meant to clean tumblers. Using technology from LG’s DIOS dishwasher line, the mycup offers two cleaning courses – Quick Wash and Extra Wash – through the LG mycup app. Tailored to various customer needs, both modes utilise high-temperature water at 65 degrees Celsius to thoroughly clean tumblers. Customers can opt for the express course for quick cleaning within 30 seconds uses "bubble jet technology" in the cleaning, or choose the thorough course that utilises a multi-directional water jet and an integrated air-drying design with powerful hot air to clean and gently dry the tumbler. A slim and compact form-factor brings to mind a water fountain, the LG mycup is targeted at the B2B space with cafés, offices, and educational Institutions amongst the initial target customers. LG mycup aims to encourage more people to use tumblers to live a low-carbon lifestyle that reduces disposable cup waste.
