Kobo introduces its first-ever colour e-readers with prices starting at S$229.90

Kobo is introducing its first colour e-readers and they are the . If these names sound somewhat familiar, that's because there's already a Libra 2 and Clara 2E in their line-up. The new Libra Colour and Clara Colour are physically very similar to the older Libra and Clara models. This means the Libra Colour has a 7-inch display, whereas the Clara Colour has a 6-inch display. The Libra Colour also has physical buttons to turn pages. The big change is obviously the display. The Libra Colour and Clara Colour both have that have a pixel density of 300 PPI when showing black and white content but drop to 150 PPI when displaying coloured content. There are other improvements under the hood. .  As for storage, the Clara Colour comes with 16GB of storage, which Kobo says is enough to store about 12,000 books. The Libra Colour has 32GB.  so there's no issue with taking them to the shower, pool, or beach. Both also support Bluetooth and WiFi 6. As for battery life, and both charge via USB-C. so Kobo's new additions could be compelling options, particularly for those who might want to use their e-readers for comics and picture books. Kobo is also introducing a new black-and-white version of the Clara, simply called . This still has a 6-inch screen but it uses the latest E ink Carta 1300 display, which should be brighter, sharper, and have faster refresh times. The Clara BW also gets the faster 2GHz dual-core processor from the new Clara Colour.
