A condominium security guard threw a bubble tea order to the ground after warning a food delivery rider not to leave the drinks at the guard house. Stomper alerted Stomp to the video of the incident posted online by SG Road Vigilante. According to the video caption, the incident took place at Central View condominium in Hougang on Sept 15 at 4.40pm. The rider claimed the customer did not provide the unit number. "I even called the customer but still never answer," he said. "So my best solution is to leave at the guard house and ask the customer to come and collect. But this security don't accept food at guard post." In the video, the security guard picked up the plastic bag containing the drinks and threatened to throw the order away if the rider did not remove it from the guard house. The rider said: "You throw, you responsible." He added that he had texted the customer and tried to call but the customer did not pick up the call. The security guard retorted: "That is his problem, not my problem." That was when he threw the bag towards the rider and it fell on the ground. The bubble tea spilled out of the plastic cups on impact. Explaining why he threw the drinks, the security guard told that he had to follow the condo rules. "For safety reasons, I can't let him leave the goods anywhere he wants," said the 63-year-old man. Netizens were quick to find blame. One Redditor commented: "Everyone at fault. Grab for their stupid system where they allow people to order food without unit number. "Customer for not including their unit number and not picking up the phone. "Security guard for not being flexible and allowing the food to be left at the guard house until the customer come collect. Rider for forcing the security to do this when he clearly said no." "PS: I feel sorry for the cleaner who need to clean up this mess." Download the new STOMP app today.
