After debuting in , launching in and going to , Honor is finally ready to bring the “entry-level” smartphones to Singapore. Here’s a quick lowdown on what the new Honor N series devices offer. The Honor 200 series has three devices: the and , which are coming to Singapore, and the Honor 200 Lite, which isn’t coming here. Their emphasis lies in their photography prowess, but it’s not done via your typical camera brand partnership. Honor worked with French (Parisian) photography house on the Honor 200 series’ imaging capabilities, co-engineering with their tuning and colour science to deliver “studio-level portraits” for their users. According to Honor, it took 400 days, 20 Studio Harcourt experts, and an analysis of over 1,000 lighting scenarios (with millions of data points) to develop the classic Studio Harcourt look and feel for the Honor 200 series’ Portrait Photography tuning. On the hardware end, the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro use a (a Super Dynamic H9000 sensor, just like the main camera). The main camera also has 4-in-1 pixel binning for low-light capture. Accompanying cameras are a (2.5x optical zoom with OIS) and a , with a front-facing 50MP selfie camera. The two phones are largely similar except for their chipset. Both are backed by Qualcomm processors, with the Honor 200 packing and the Honor 200 Pro getting (this processor is also in the ). While Honor Singapore calls its N-series “entry-level,” these chipsets are designed for midrange and flagship-lite tiers. If you don’t mind the slight differences to accommodate their build, the displays are also similar. Both use panels with support and brightness. The Honor 200 display is 6.7 inches (2,664 x 1,200 pixels resolution), while the Honor 200 Pro is 6.78 inches (2,700 x 1,224 pixels resolution). Both phones also pack a battery with fast charging. Only the Honor 200 Pro has 66W wireless fast charging. Finally, it runs on MagicOS 8.0, an Android 14 reskin compatible with Google Mobile Services and the official Google Play app store. If you recall, MagicOS 8.0 also has Honor’s , which are already on its Magic6 Pro. Honor Singapore said the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro will be officially available from onwards. Details on where to buy, their prices, and promotions will be provided closer to their launch date.
