To help support the development of amenities in New Tengah HDB Town, has launched a new initiative that makes it more convenient for both residents and Grab delivery- and driver-partners. Grab today (13 June 2024) announced "Delivering Tengah", a project designed to support the development of Singapore's recently made HDB Town, . The project, which started in March 2024, involved of six Tengah HDB precincts, 10km of roads, and 160 places of interest (e.g., HDB block lift lobbies and businesses). Grab has also contributed footpath data on , a volunteer-run open-source mapping tool that businesses and individuals can also use. The ongoing mapping exercise (graced by Dr Amy Khor, Advisor to Hong Kah North Grassroots Organisations and also Singapore's Senior Minister of State in the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment Ministry of Transport) would help ease riders' and Tengah residents' concerns about navigating roads amidst ongoing construction, helping both sides find the correct pick-up and drop-off points. Grab will continue to map new precincts in Tengah as more estates open up for HDB key collection and update the maps with roads and POIs as the town develops. For example, the estate will get carpark mapping for pick-ups and drop-offs at the right blocks instead of the current "designated spot", which may be further away. The mapping exercise was done using car-mounted map-making cameras, which are compact enough to map places like small alleyways with the help of edge computing and AI for data collection. Between , Tengah residents can use the promo code " " to get on GrabFood and GrabMart orders with no minimum order required. Tengah residents can reach through the initiative. This will help them ensure access and variety to amenities while the new estate opens up with more malls and restaurants. The merchants supported include fast-food brands (e.g., Burger King, KFC, McDonald's, Subway), local eats (e.g., LiHo, Mr Coconut, Old Chang Kee), groceries (e.g., Don Don Donki and GrabMart Grocer), and pharmacies (e.g., Guardian, Watsons, Unity). , is limited to five GrabFood redemptions and one GrabMart redemption , with limited monthly redemptions across the board.
