If you’re on the beauty side of TikTok and Instagram, you’ve probably come across the viral Hailey Bieber’s Skin Glaze Strawberry Smoothie, sold exclusively at the upscale US grocery chain, Erewhon. This seemingly simple drink was all over the Internet for two main reasons: the fact that Hailey Bieber designed the recipe, and that it costs a jaw-dropping $20 per cup. And so when Cold Press Index launched their rendition of the popular drink in Singapore, we headed down to Marina One ASAP to see what the smoothie was about. Frankly, I was surprised by the hefty price tag of Hailey Bieber’s Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie ($18/$20), but I didn’t want to be too hasty to dismiss Cold Press Index’s offering. Instead, let me break down the reason that hopefully justifies these prices. Clean, premium ingredients are used to create this smoothie: vanilla stevia, coconut cream, hyaluronic acid, protein vanilla collagen, and organic sea moss are just some examples. And of course, they are blended with all sorts of fruits, including avocado, bananas, and strawberries. I had my initial reservations about this drink, but admittedly, I enjoyed the velvety smooth texture of the smoothie was something new for me. In terms of flavour, you mostly get bananas and strawberries upfront, with a hint of vanilla at the finish. Given the amount of skin-loving ingredients in the blend, you can kill two birds with one stone with this smoothie—it’s perfect for those of you in your health and skincare era. But if the prices are a no-go, here’s a tip: drop by every Thursday with a friend to enjoy two large smoothies for $20, so that’s just $10 a person! We also gave their Peanut Brownie Shake ($10/$12) a try. This is made up of bananas, oat milk, vegan protein, organic cacao, pure peanut butter, and then finished with some coconut bits. This one tastes like a peanut butter shake, with no distinct flavour of brownies. If acai bowls are your jam, we recommend the Galaxy Acai Bowl ($11/$16). What makes this bowl different from others is the addition of coconut sorbet. As a diehard fan of acai bowls, I can say this is something unique, and it gives the acai base an incredibly smooth consistency. 10 Best Acai Shops In Singapore Ranked For something more tropical, their Seminyak Sunrise ($11/$16) is a good choice. You get a smooth acai base topped with kiwi, bananas, strawberries, red dragonfruit, coconut flakes, and fruit granola. FYI, if you’re heading down on a Tuesday or Wednesday, you’re in for a treat as you can enjoy 30% off a large original acai bowl here. Cold Press Index is located in the basement of Marina One, which is within spitting distance of Downtown MRT Station and Shenton Way MRT Station.
