Forum: Proud of our Olympians

I am an octogenarian who followed the Olympic badminton matches keenly. I was very impressed with Loh Kean Yew’s performance. He worked hard for every point and his quarter-final battle with Viktor Axelsen was one of the most exciting matches I have seen. Although Loh did not win, his courage and fighting spirit made all Singaporeans proud. This Olympics was the first time I watched the kitefoiling races as I did not know about the event before. So it was thrilling to discover a new sport and see 17-year-old Max Maeder power his way into the finals. His Olympic medal was truly the best birthday gift to Singapore. I am so proud of all our Olympians, who have put in blood, sweat and tears to represent us at the Games. I would like to encourage them to never stop trying to achieve greater heights. Well done, Singapore!
