We refer to Mr Phneah Peng Whatt’s letter “ ” (July 5). As part of ActiveSG’s review to continually improve service excellence and support the Smart Nation initiative, touchscreen smart lockers have been deployed at all ActiveSG swimming complexes since March 1, 2023. There is greater convenience for patrons, as payment is cashless and there is no longer a need to hold on to a physical key while they exercise. We have provided more cashless payment methods such as credit cards, Nets and ez-link cards. This is in addition to PayNow, which has been in use since smart cashless lockers were rolled out. Patrons can also choose a two-hour single-use option, or the five-hour multi-use option which lets them retrieve their belongings in between their swim routine, if required.
