We refer to the excerpt of the letter by Mr Mahendran Kandasamy, “ (Sept 6), which made reference to an article in The Straits Times, “ (Sept 2). Following the lodging of the police report, the police had identified all the students involved and warned them in the presence of their parents. The school is supporting the victim. Her family has been advised to seek the police’s assistance whenever necessary. Police investigations into the case are ongoing. The police take a very serious view of such acts of violence and we will take firm action against the offenders in accordance with the law.
