Forum: New features in MyActiveSG+ in response to feedback

We thank Mr Irving Seah Tze Chuen for his letter “ ” (July 10), and for recognising the considerations Sport Singapore (SportSG) applied in developing MyActiveSG+. This new membership system is part of our efforts to streamline our services and give members a better user experience when booking sporting facilities and programmes. The balloting feature for peak-hour slots on MyActiveSG+, coupled with Singpass log-in, ensure all users have an equal chance of securing their preferred slot. This addresses members’ feedback about unfair competition from those with multiple accounts which are not Singpass-verified or those using bots and scripting.  Peak-hour slots that are not successfully balloted are released back into the MyActiveSG+ platform for booking at noon the following day on a first come, first served basis. Non-peak hour slots continue to be available on a first come, first served basis. In response to public feedback seeking greater certainty in securing slots for activity planning, SportSG has quickly made further enhancements in MyActiveSG+. These include introducing high-demand indicators on popular slots to facilitate decision-making. We are also working on a block ballot feature to be rolled out in a next phase of development. We recognise that members who are unwell may not be able to utilise their bookings. While we typically do not allow cancellations to minimise hoarding and last-minute booking changes, cancellations and refunds are possible with the presentation of a medical certificate, and these requests can be made through our hotline (1800 344 1177) or online feedback form ( ). In such instances, slots will be released back into the MyActiveSG+ platform, for other members of the public to book on a first come, first served basis. Nonetheless, in direct response to public feedback, we are developing a new “refunds and cancellations” feature in MyActiveSG+, so that more Singaporeans can access public sport facilities. This will be rolled out in early 2025. ActiveSG offers more than 100 interest groups on MyActiveSG+ for sign-ups, covering a wide variety of sports. We encourage members keen to participate regularly in sports to sign up. SportSG is aware that every new platform will have teething issues. We appreciate the feedback to help improve MyActiveSG+, and seek the public’s patience and understanding as we work to enhance the user experience and ensure equitable access for all members.
