There were two letters on the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) recently (D and S both Aug 1). I must say I was impressed by how fast and diligent SCDF was in responding when we called recently after noticing that my 94-year-old dad looked very weak while having breakfast. The SCDF officers who came gave him a thorough check. I must thank Zaki, Samantha and Shazwani who displayed a very proactive, caring and even joyous approach in tending to him.
