The Fifa international windows are periods pre-determined by Fifa when clubs are obliged to release their players for international duties. Since national players do not train together, international windows are rare occasions when players can train together and work out tactics. Typically, international friendlies are organised if no official matches are to be played. There will be three international windows in September, October and November, and up to two matches can be arranged for each one. The schedule for these windows was released by Fifa in April 2023. They are especially important given that the AFF (Asean Football Federation) Cup will be held in December 2024. Can the Football Association of Singapore share its plans for the upcoming windows? Will there be friendlies arranged? If not, what are the reasons?
