Fight as Akuma in Street Fighter 6 starting 22 May

Capcom has announced that Akuma is coming to Street Fighter 6 starting  . Akuma joins the Street Fighter 6 roster as a DLC and will be unlocked for owners of the Year 1 Character Pass, Year 1 Ultimate Pass, Deluxe Edition, or Ultimate Edition. The Street Fighter 6 gameplay shows off Akuma complete with his famous move set including the air fireball, dive kick, and teleport move. Not forgetting Akuma’s iconic Raging Demon attack. It’s fair to say Ryu got destroyed in the trailer. Here is a little history lesson for those who are clueless about who Akuma is. Originally introduced in 1994, the name Akuma translates to Devil, or Demon in Japanese and his fighting and character style match his name. Akuma first made his debut in Super Street Fighter II Turbo as a secret character and an alternative boss. From thereon, he has appeared in future Street Fighter titles such as Street Fighter III 3rd Strike, and Street Fighter V and even had a new form known as Kuruoshiki Oni in Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition. Akuma is the younger brother of Gouken, Ryu’s and Ken’s master, and follows the fighting style called the “Satsui no Hado”, which sees him becoming evil and merciless to achieve power.
