Epson has introduced two new monochrome WorkForce Pro Series printers, the WF-M5399 and WF-M5899, to Singapore. Both come packed with eco-friendly features for fast, reliable, and environmentally conscious A4 printing and scanning for workgroups. The two models are new to Singapore with Epson saying that they launched these printers to target the A4 mono segment, meaning SMBs or SOHOs with high document printing needs. To start with, both come with extra high-yield ink packs that are good for up to , this reduces downtime needed to change ink cartridges and their assorted environmental waste related to cartridge materials. To go along with this, the WF-M5399 and WF-M5899 have expandable paper handling capacity that can take up to , for a total of 1,830 sheets and reducing the need for frequent paper loading. Additionally, the printers support the automatic selection of paper types and sizes and can print up to without needing any warm-up time. Epson says both printers consume less power by using its technology meaning that they use up to 85% less energy than similar-speed laser printers.
