Capcom is bringing Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil 2 remake to Apple devices

Capcom has announced that two of its most iconic entries in the series are coming to the , and .  In the first-person , players take control of Ethan Winters as he searches for his missing wife, leading him to a deranged family's plantation home. The Gold Edition, containing bonus story episodes and gameplay modes, will be available as an upgrade purchase. The second entry is a remake of  . The game brings the 1998 zombie-infested Raccoon City to Apple devices. The game follows the stories of rookie cop Leon S. Kennedy and college student Claire Redfield as they fight for survival.  Both games will be powered by Capcom's RE Engine, and will run natively on Apple silicon across iPhone, iPad and Mac. They will also utilise Apple's upscaling technology to further enhance graphics. The iPhone and iPad versions will feature optimised touch controls with a new Auto Fire option for more accessible gameplay. There will also be Bluetooth controller support for all supported Apple devices. Players will be able to download free starter portions of each game before purchasing the full experiences. Both titles will offer universal purchase, allowing one purchase to work across iPhone, iPad and Mac, as well as to pick up saved games on different devices. The first of the two, Resident Evil Biohazard and will launch on the on . The game will be playable on the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and all iPad and Mac modes powered by M1 chips or later. Resident Evil 2 is currently in development with no further news regarding the release date of the game. The game will be available on the same Apple devices.
