ASUS announces new formats for AI-enhanced ProArt notebooks for creators

In the midst of the AI overhaul of , the is getting its own special treatment because ASUS is finally expanding the sub-brand to cover more mobile-centric workloads. In the past, ProArt only came in the classic form factor probably because creatives were deemed to be tied down, slaving away at art, animation, or video editing. All of which are time- and compute-intensive tasks. But with the advent of and , ASUS believes that AI can now help reduce the “mundane” tasks of creation such as inspiration and discovery phases, content curation, cataloguing, and ideation. To this end, there’s not one, or two, but three ProArt notebooks launched at Computex 2024. All three are Copilot+ PCs, but instead of just relying on Copilot+ features alone, ASUS has gone one step further to develop their own exclusive AI-ready creative apps: and . Let’s start with the classic clamshell notebook. The seems to have lost the Studiobook moniker of its predecessors, but it’s very much the direct successor to the Studiobooks of the past. The P16 doesn’t have much of a flair and is just about brute force. It features the , , , , and the ASUS DialPal these notebooks are known for. However, the P16 comes with a . The ProArt P16 is only thick and weighs g. Considering it has similar hardware specs to the TUF Gaming A16, the ProArt P16 can be considered slim and lightweight for its class. If you’re getting a sense of déjà vu, it’s because ASUS is just repeating the formula of the ROG Flow devices. The is a convertible notebook similar in design and concept to the , except instead of gaming, it’s designed for creators. Specs-wise, the PX13 actually matches the P16 with an and  The difference is that except memory maxes out at , has a smaller , and a smaller . It is thicker than the P16 at , but much lighter at Last but not least, again following the naming convention of the PX13, if you came to conclude that the is going to be a , in the same vein as the , you’re right. Unlike the ProArt P16 and PX13 however, the ProArt PZ13 is powered by the , , and 1TB SSD. It has a 70Wh battery, is only 9mm thin, and weighs 0.85kg. This makes the ProArt PZ13 the second Snapdragon-powered Copilot+ notebook from ASUS. Interestingly, ASUS put the PZ13 through its paces, so it is standards, and has a full suite of . It’s clear to me that ASUS wants you to take the PZ13 to far flung places in the world and create things with AI. Since we haven’t even gotten the chance yet to test the Vivobook S 15, I can’t say what kind of performance the Snapdragon chip will get you for a creator-focused notebook. Both ProArt P16 and PX13 can already be purchased now through . The P16 starts from while the PX13 starts from . The PZ13 however, does not have a fixed date yet, but you can click through to the product page to read more about it. All three ProArt notebooks will also come with , and .
