If the number of shares for our prata guide is any indication, we Singaporeans love prata. The good news is, the prata gods have heard our call and presented this malevolent gift of a prata buffet to all who believe in the power of prata. Previously known as Prata Corner, Al Jasra Restaurant near Kembangan MRT Station has all-you-can-eat prata with all kinds of flavours for just $7.90. We went a little crazy and ordered all 15 prata flavours just to try. Most of them tasted like typical pratas you can get at your nearest kopitiam, but there were some interesting standouts such as  masala, ikan bilis and honey. One of my faves was Masala Prata, which was packed full of – you guessed it – masala curry. The filling was so flavourful I didn’t have to dip it in extra curry. Surprisingly, it wasn’t as spicy as I thought it would be. As novel as Ikan Bilis Prata sounds, ikan bilisand prata really don’t go well together. It was dry and the ikan bilis didn’t add much to the prata. While I wouldn’t order this again, it’s still something worth a try for those who swear by eating everything in this world at least once. I didn’t expect Honey Prata to be anything special, but I really enjoyed this. It’s a nice upgrade from the usual sugar prata, and if you close your eyes and use a little bit of imagination, this could pass off as a thicker version of French crepe. Aside from the three mentioned, you can expect old-school prata flavours like banana, mushroom and strawberry. There’s a good mix of both sweet and savoury options, so you can have your prata as both your main AND dessert! At just $7.90, this prata buffet is super worth it for big eaters. You can eat as many pratas as you want, and max out the value by ordering more atas flavours such as cheese and mushroom, banana or honey.
