Akira Toriyama, Dragon Ball creator, passes away at age 68

Toriyama was still actively working, based on the same note posted on the . It said that he "had several works in the middle of creation", and that his creative works spanned a period of 45 years. Toriyama's body of work came in many forms, his characters appearing in manga, anime, movies, and video games. Aside from the famed Dragon Ball series, he created and its beloved robot character , as well as characters in the series and video games, widely considered some of the best RPGs from their generations. Dragon Ball, without a doubt, is his most influential body of work. Inspired by the Chinese classic Journey to the West, its characters like Goku are household names worldwide. Toriyama left behind a creation that has been enjoyed on all platforms: manga, anime, movies, games, and on t-shirts, in toys, and so on.  Bird Studio has asked for privacy for Toriyama's family.
