Acer new DA1 and Nitro GA1 monitors get Google TV smarts for entertainment, work, and gaming

Acer launched the DA1 and Nitro GA1 monitor series that come with Google TV and access to popular streaming apps and content that can be accessed from one screen. Both the Acer DA1 and Nitro GA1 monitors come in 31.5- and 27-inch models. Its Google TV support means that they have access to popular apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, HBO Max, YouTube, and Google Cast. Both also come with a Multiview function that splits the monitors into various viewing sections. This is useful for those who are always multitasking as they can simultaneously view and interact with content from various sources and control these straight from the displays. But that is where their similarity ends.   The new Acer DA271K and DA321QK LED monitors come with 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution, a 60Hz refresh rate, 250nits of brightness, and 4ms response time. In terms of connectivity options, both have one HDMI (2.0) port, one DP (1.4) port, one USB-C (PD 65 W) port, and two USB A (2.0) ports. They also feature dual 5W speakers. Both monitors have a series of productivity-boosting features such as wireless projection and Multiview’s screen splitting capabilities to enhance overall usability and convenience for users. Both the Nitro GA271U P and Nitro GA321QU P are equipped with a WQHD (2560 x 1440) resolution, and a refresh rate up to 180Hz, a 1ms response time, and 250nits of brightness. They also have AMD FreeSync support and are NVIDIA G-SYNC compatible. In terms of connectivity, both come with one HDMI (2.0) port, one DP (1.4) port, one USB-C (PD 65 W) port, two USB-A (2.0) ports, and an Audio out. The Acer DA271K will be available in North America and EMEA in Q4, starting at and respectively. The Acer DA321QK will also be available in North America and EMEA in Q4, starting at and respectively. The Nitro GA271U P will be available in both North America and EMEA in Q4, starting at and respectively.
