It’s no secret that everyone wants to find a home that is spacious, yet affordable. Located along the Pang Sua Park Connector, The Quintet may be a suitable option for homeowners looking for a home with walking access to a wide variety of neighbourhood amenities in the West of Singapore.  The Quintet is an 8-minute walk to Yew Tee MRT Station (North-South line) and Yew Tee Point, though residents might find that the coffee shops located in the HDB estates nearby a more convenient option to pick up food. Alternatively, there is also the option to head to Limbang Shopping Centre, which houses a wet market, supermarket and several eateries.  The neighbourhood is generally peaceful and full of greenery too. The park connector leads to Pang Sua Pond and Chestnut Nature Park. The nearby Rail Corridor is a good option for a scenic route for walks and runs, too.  The unit is a 1,798 square feet ground-floor apartment, which comes with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and decent living space. All corners of the apartment are good-sized, though I appreciate that the master bathroom is spacious enough to accommodate a bathtub.  Most notably, it has a patio that stretches across and is accessible from the living room and two of the bedrooms. As full-height sliding glass doors are installed for these access points, the unit is brightly lit despite being on the ground floor.  I also appreciate that the unit faces the pool for easy access to the facilities. The unit is also slightly elevated from the common pathways for more privacy. A stalwart in the Jurong East neighbourhood, Ivory Heights sits on a generous land area of over 825,500 square feet to offer residents low-density living. It is located an 8-minute walk to Jurong East MRT Station (East-West line and North-South line), which is connected to three shopping malls (Westgate, JEM and IMM) and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.  As Ivory Heights is situated within a quieter and less busy part of the neighbourhood, residents are still able to enjoy a tranquil environment without compromising much on connectivity. The project is also a short walk from the scenic Chinese and Japanese Gardens, both of which are slated to be completed later this year.  This is a high-floor unit that is sized at 1,700 square feet. The unit offers three bedrooms, two bathrooms and plenty of common space, including a balcony in the living area. In addition to that, the kitchen is well-sized and comes with a separate yard and utility room.  One of the key selling points is the unblocked view of the gardens from the balcony, living room and all three bedrooms, which allows a good amount of natural light into the space.  Lastly, the current owners have created a split-level configuration to demarcate the private space from the common areas. As a result, the sunken living area is a unique feature of this home.   Sandwiched between Bukit Batok Hillside Park and Bukit Panjang Hill, this unit in The Madeira offers a unique and tranquil landed lifestyle while still within walking distance of key amenities.  The nearest MRT station is a five-minute walk to Bukit Gombak MRT Station (North-South line), and The Madeira is located right across from Bukit Gombak Neighbourhood Centre, which has a wet market, two supermarkets and a range of food options.  For residents who don’t mind the longer walk, there is also the option to head to Bukit Batok MRT Station (North-South line) which is beside Westmall.  As part of the lifestyle offerings in this neighbourhood, The Madeira sits along the park connector that leads to Bukit Batok Town Park, Bukit Batok Nature Park and Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. This might not be everyone’s cup of tea but it would surely appeal to nature lovers.  Sized at a spacious 1,905 square feet, this is a ground-floor unit that comes with two sheltered patios, three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen with a separate yard, homeshelter and WC.  Ideal for homeowners who enjoy a lot of outdoor space, the main patio stretches across the living area and two of the bedrooms, while the other is accessible from the kitchen. The rest of the apartment is also well-sized and well-lit with natural light.   Most parts of the apartment are regularly shaped, making furniture placement more efficient and easier. As one of the biggest former HUDC estates built in the late 1900s, is easily recognised for two things – its green building facade and generous land size of almost 900,000 square feet.  Naturally, this births a unique low-density lifestyle that would appeal to homeowners who prefer coming home to a tranquil environment. Additionally, this project is located a short walk to the park connector that runs along the Ulu Pandan River and Dover Forest, making it a green reprise to come home to.  One downside is that the nearest MRT station is quite a distance away. Residents can consider heading to Clementi MRT Station (East-West line), which is around a 26-minute walk, or Dover MRT Station (East-West line), which requires a 21-minute stroll. To address this pain point of being a distance from a supermarket, there is a small convenience store within the development.  For families with schooling children, the project is within a 1-km of the popular Henry Park Primary School.  This unit is located within one of the walk-up apartments of Pine Grove. Sized at 1,722 square feet, the layout is efficient and every part of the house is well-sized. The living room is especially spacious and can accommodate an extra bedroom, in addition to its current configuration.  The apartment has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a balcony in the living area, and a kitchen that comes with a utility room, a WC and a service balcony. For those living with a helper, the utility room is ventilated and can be used as a helper’s room. Otherwise, it would be a useful storage space.  Other unique features of this apartment include staggered window panels in one of the common bedrooms, and the master bedroom comes with a spacious dressing room connected to the master bathroom. It probably isn’t as ideal for those with mobility issues though, which is something to note. Located a short 5-minute walk from Yew Tee MRT Station and Yew Tee Point, Windermere is a mature condo that would appeal to those looking for a well-rounded project in the West of Singapore. The nearby Limbang Shopping Centre, which has a wet market, supermarket and other coffee shops, is a popular alternative for residents to pick up food and groceries.  Additionally, Windermere is located right next to the park connector that leads to Pang Sua Pond and Chestnut Nature Park, while being a short walk to the Rail Corridor. The apartment is a duplex penthouse unit sized at a whopping 2,056 square feet – perfect for bigger families that need more space.  The lower level originally consisted of a spacious living and dining area, along with a corner terrace, a bathroom, a study and a kitchen that comes with a yard, ventilated store room and WC.  However, the current owners have opted to create another ensuite bedroom on the lower floor by combining the study room with part of the dining area and the common bathroom. Another eye-catching feature is the double-volume ceilings in the living area, in which the big window panels allow plenty of natural light into the home.  On the other hand, the upper floor originally consisted of three bedrooms and two bathrooms.  This layout, however, has been modified by the current owners.  The master bedroom was combined with the adjacent common bedroom to create a larger master bedroom that can accommodate a walk-in wardrobe and study area. The other common room has also been altered to include a jack-and-jill door to the bathroom, making all rooms in this apartment an ensuite bathroom.  For families who want a home that has lots of common areas while still maintaining privacy, this penthouse unit would be an option to consider.
